Kim and Josh met in 2020 on a dating app. At first, Kim was a little hesitant because Josh was a cop, and she grew up with both parents in law enforcement. After some convincing from a friend, she agreed to go on a date with Josh. Their first date was for sushi, Kim was embarrassed because she didn’t know how to use chopsticks, but Josh agreed to not use chopsticks either to make her feel better. At that moment, Kim knew he was special. All of this led up to their Village Farm wedding in Shelton, NE.
Getting Ready
The bride and groom spent the morning getting ready separately. The bride, along with her bridesmaids spent the morning getting their hair and makeup done to get ready to walk down the aisle, and the boys spent the morning putting on their suits and tying their ties.
The Ceremony
The wedding ceremony took place at 4:00 PM at the Village Farm. The couple exchanged vows and placed rings on each other’s fingers. Then their families joined together to pray together and finally, the bride and groom braided the Cord of Three Strands together which symbolizes their union in marriage.
The Reception
The wedding reception also took place at The Village Farm. They had dinner, toasts were made, and the newlyweds shared their first dance to “Heaven had a Hand” by Ward Davis. Then all the guests joined them on the dance floor to dance the night away. At the end of the night, there was a sparkler send-off for the couple.
