Meet Zach “DJ YZ”

Born and raised in Kearney, Nebraska, Zach—better known as ZEE—has always had music in his blood. As a kid, he dreamed of becoming a rapper, and today he still loves freestyle rhyming. After living in places like Hawaii, Oregon, California, and Arizona, Zach brings a unique mix of Pacific Islander and Midwestern influences to everything he does.

Before joining Complete Weddings + Events as a DJ, Zach took a very different career path. He worked in landscaping and as a wildland firefighter, where he helped battle four wildfires. Eventually, his personality, love of music, and ability to connect with people led him behind the DJ booth.

For Zach, DJing is about much more than playing songs. He loves having the opportunity to bring joy and create memories for people on one of the biggest days of their lives. He describes his career in three words: fun, evolving, and magical. His favorite parts of the job are meeting new people, sharing great music, and—when the opportunity presents itself—doing a little breakdancing!

Away from the DJ booth, Zach enjoys freestyle rhymes, cheering on the New Orleans Saints, spending time with his three cats—Salem, Lilly, and Nalu—and dreaming about trips back to Hawaii Kai. An interesting fact about Zach? His brother plays in the NFL!

What makes ZEE unique as a DJ is pretty simple: His personality, energy, and genuine enjoyment of people come through at every event.

His goal is to continue learning, growing, making an honest living, and creating unforgettable moments—one celebration at a time.
