Covid-19 changed their plans, but love remains!

Congratulations Paige & Anthony on your recent marriage! Covid-19 may have changed their plans, but they were still able to have an intimate ceremony with their immediate family and close friends at St. Isidore’s Catholic Church, in Manhattan, KS on April 25th, 2020. They chose to live stream the ceremony for their guests who were unable to attend. Following the ceremony, Paige and Anthony were able to enjoy their first dance along with sharing their first slice of wedding cake outside of the Manhattan, KS church. It may not have been the wedding they had been planning on, but they were surrounded by their loved ones and made the best of it.

From your traditional bride and groom figurines to wooden initials and barbwire, there is so much creativity and personalizing that goes into the design of cake toppers these days. Many couples find picking out the cake topper is harder than picking out the flavors of cake. The topper often helps bring the whole cake design together and it is what many couples keep for years to come. Carly & Eric Smith’s big day took place at Abe & Jake’s Landing in Lawrence, Kansas on February 29, 2020. Abe & Jake’s offers a unique downtown location on the Kansas River and highlights its industrial charm well. It is one of the Complete Weddings + Events Kansas (Complete Kansas) favorite places to not only photograph but also to Video and DJ.

Carly & Eric were a delight to work with and chose Complete Kansas for Photography, Video, DJ & Photo Booth. We did most of the planning with Carly’s father Gregg and here is what he had to say about his Complete Kansas experience.

Abby & Tim | Chrisman Manor | Oskaloosa, KS

Congratulations to the newlyweds Abby & Tim!

These two met on Tinder and made the right decision by swiping right (just check out that cake topper)!

They tied the knot and celebrated with friends and family at the beautiful Chrisman Manor in Oskaloosa during their morning ceremony and brunch reception. Just check out that gorgeous sunrise light in their first look pictures. The centerpieces were made with fresh cranberries and white fake snow adorned with fresh pine greens from Chinell’s by Ariel out of Topeka, KS along with their hot chocolate bar truly brought out the winter wedding vibe. The daddy daughter dance had everyone in tears as Abby sung the words to her dad from Abby Anderson’s “Daddy”.

“Cause daddy he loves me just like you do
He treats me like a queen just like you, just like you do
He’s my shoulder to cry on, he’s my best friend
Oh and daddy, he loves me just like you”
