Jacob Honeycutt is the General Manager and an award winning wedding DJ in Kansas City with Complete Weddings + Events, bringing energy, professionalism, and a true passion for entertainment to every event he hosts. Since joining Complete in 2012, Jacob has DJ’d and emceed countless weddings, corporate events, nonprofit fundraisers, and festivals, building a reputation for keeping crowds engaged and dance floors packed.
Before his time with Complete, Jacob worked in country radio, where he developed his love for the microphone and sharpened his skills as a charismatic emcee. While he’s knowledgeable across nearly every music genre, his specialties are country and classic hip-hop/rap—perfect for couples who want a high-energy, club-style dance floor with a mix of sing-alongs and throwbacks.
Jacob is a two-time Platinum Award–winning DJ and has also played a key role in helping Complete Weddings + Events earn major honors, including recognition as Kansas City’s Best DJ Company in 2025. Beyond the event world, Jacob is the on-air Storm Chaser for FOX4 News in KC and KSN News 3 in Wichita, KS and has been tracking severe weather and chasing tornadoes for more than 15 years.
Deeply involved in his community, Jacob regularly supports local nonprofits such as Hillcrest Transitional Housing and Pro Deo Youth Center. When he’s not behind the DJ booth or tracking storms, he enjoys bass fishing and spending time outdoors.
Jacob believes great events go far beyond simply playing music. He takes the time to learn about each couple or client he works with, ensuring their event reflects their unique vision. With a commitment to going above and beyond in customer service, Jacob works hard to make sure every celebration is done their way and feels unforgettable from the first announcement to the last song.

I love country music and hip-hop! Whether its a country hoedown or club-style set, I’m here for it! Personally, 90’s and early 2000’s country is my favorite era of country music and early 2000’s/2010’s hip-hop was and always will be the best!
I personally get fully booked or close to it about 9-12 months out! It’s always best to book early!
