I’m someone who’s always chasing new experiences and learning from the world around me. I like to think of myself as a lifelong learner who enjoys connecting with people and bringing a sense of energy and humor into every room I walk into. Those qualities carry directly into my work as a DJ. My experience has taken me from drum and bass raves in Europe to line dancing clubs in Arkansas, and even DJing a micro wrestling event. That variety has shaped how I read a crowd and create an experience that consistently exceeds expectations. What I love most about DJing weddings and events is how music connects people. It is a universal language that brings everyone together, whether they are dancing, singing along, or just nodding to the rhythm. My goal at every event is simple. I want even the people who swear they never dance to end up smiling on the dance floor by the end of the night.

Why do you enjoy working for Complete Weddings + Events?

Though new to the company, from my first interaction with my manager, I could tell that Complete Weddings + Events was going to be a healthy balance between personable, relaxed interaction, and professional, detail oriented delivery of service. To join a team that is learning, building, and setting standards together is refreshing.

What is your #1 goal at every event?

To get people who NEVER dance (often in their own words) to get on the dance floor, and gradually turn their often reluctant half laughing, half mortified expression into a smile. I’ll take a good head bob or sing along too.

I speak natively fluent mandarin and lived in Taiwan for about 3 years, though I’ve been learning mandarin since I was 6. My legal Mandarin name is 沈强森 (shen qiang sen), and it means strong forest!
