The Conservatory is located in the heart of the East Village in Des Moines, and it is magical! This venue can hold up to 275 seated guests, but the best part is what is included in the price. Your wedding package will include tables, chairs, linens, centerpieces, and an on-site venue manager which means you save a lot of time and money. No need to stress about the weather when you book your wedding at the Conservatory because your entire event will be indoors! Worried about parking in downtown Des Moines? Don’t be. The Conservatory offers many different spots for your guests to park including metered parking (free after 9 pm!), a parking garage directly behind the building, and event parking at a business across the street. We love 4 season venues!

2. Red Acre Barn
4053 Kirkwood St, Prole, IA 50229
The Red Acre Barn is just a short drive from West Des Moines, and it is very obvious why it is on our list for best wedding venues in central Iowa. Prole, Iowa is located about 20 miles south of Jordan Creek Mall but still gives you the country wedding vibes for our rustic-loving couples. The big red barn is a beauty on its own, but what we love the most is the amount of space you have to set up outdoors as well. You are able to rent a tent or a stage for your event, and there is enough parking for about 150 cars. The Red Acre Barn does not have a preferred vendor list, so that means you can bring in any vendor of your choice. You also have access to their kitchen and grill. The possibilities are endless at this picture-perfect venue.

3. The Chateau

The Chateau is a wedding venue full of natural light and charm. If you are looking for convenience when planning your wedding, look no further because the Chateau offers many different services to make your life easier. You are able to have a ceremony and reception on site, so your guests don’t need to travel between locations. Everywhere you turn is a picture backdrop for photos including their vineyard, gazebo, paved walkways, big porches, and tall ceilings with hard wood floors. Did we mention it was hooked to a winery and they cater in house? These are just a few services the Chateau can offer you and 250 guests. Make sure to add the Chateau to your tour list.

4. Jasper Winery

Jasper Winery is a well-known spot in Des Moines for weddings because it is not only beautiful but convenient. If your guests live near Des Moines, your guests will love the short drive home from the winery, You are able to have your wedding reception indoors or outdoors because Jasper Winery has it all. Even if it rains at your outdoor wedding, no need to panic because Jasper has a tent set up for you and your guests. Jasper winery offers a bar service with beer and wine, tables and chairs, access to their barrel room, and more. Plus you get to work with an amazing staff who are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to weddings and wine. Jasper Winery can accommodate up to 300 guests, which means you can invite everyone on your list.

5. Country Lane Lodge

Country Lane Lodge is what you get when rustic charm meets elegance. If you are looking for privacy on your wedding day for you and your guests then you have come to the right place. The gravel road to Country Lane Lodge leads you to a private property surrounded by woods and scenery. There is a reception space that holds up to 400 guests (including the wedding party) and it does not compromise on style. Country Lane Lodge has a staff that is a dream to work with, and they always keep their wedding couple’s best interest at heart. No need to worry about rain or snow on your big day when you book here because they are able to flip a space within 15 minutes to accommodate Mother Nature’s mood swings.

6. Alta House Event Center

Alta House Event Center is full of eye-catching details that will have your guests talking about your wedding for years to come. What we love the most about this event venue is that they offer a package to rent the property for 48 hours which makes planning your wedding a million times easier. No need to decorate in 1 hour or find a separate venue for your rehearsal when you rent the Alta House. Did we mention the cabin, shuttle van, or bridal suite? Not to mention the covered porch so you can still have an outdoor ceremony even if it’s pouring rain or 100 degrees.

If you are searching for a location that has appeal in the daytime and the night, then Barnes’ Place may be right for you. The scenery is incredibly romantic and there are several options to choose from for ceremony locations. Barnes’ Place is also a 4 seasons venue, which means you can have your wedding there no matter the weather.
