As a wedding videographer, I’ve shot at countless venues over the years, and yet this is by far one of my favorites! From the gorgeous back patio and pond, to the stunning greenery and ceremony space, Swan Lake is nothing short of impressive. The indoor spaces are excellent too, as there’s both a reception hall and two adjacent buildings for the bridal party to get ready in. Located in Powell, Swan Lake is an easy drive from anywhere in Columbus, and is definitely a solid option for couples wanting an outdoor-ceremony venue!
Royal American Links
I’ve captured numerous weddings at this venue, yet it never gets old. Located on a golf course in Galena, Royal American Links offers beautiful, peaceful scenery with both exceptional indoor and outdoor space. Behind the venue rests an outdoor ceremony area, equipped with plenty of room for guests and a stunning view of the golf course. A spacious reception hall can also be found inside, providing couples with a backup area in case of poor weather conditions. And to top it all off, the Royal American staff is some of the best I’ve worked with, so rest assured they’ll have you covered!
Alum Creek Farm
Although the most recently-established on this list, Alum Creek Farm is easily one of the best outdoor-ceremony venues in Columbus. Between the cozy brick house for bridal parties, elegant barn for receptions, and the genuinely breathtaking outdoor space for ceremonies, there really isn’t much else to ask for. Additionally, Alum Creek Farm is located just off of I-71 in Delaware, making it a short and simple drive for those in Columbus!
With so many great venues in and around Columbus, it can be difficult choosing which one to host your wedding at. Each has its own benefits, and as those in the photo/video industry say, “location is everything”.
