The Kaminski House has over 200 years of Charleston history. Through generations of being passed down from family to family, the house has stood the test of time. With generous upkeep and planning, the house was eventually open to the public for tours, or events on the grounds. This made it an easy “yes” for Erica + Matthew to have their wedding day here!
Burying The Bourbon
A month before Erica + Matthew were set to get married, they stood hand in front of the Kaminski House. With free hands, Erica held a bottle of bourbon and Matthew held a shovel ready to dig. If you’re born and raised in any southern city or state, you already know what was about to play out. Burying the Bourbon is key to a beautiful and rain-free wedding day. Fast forward to the wedding day, and Erica + Matthew didn’t experience a single drop of rain on their wedding day!
Ceremony Attire
Guests arrived and took their seats, ready for the day to begin. Music began playing to signal everyone that the ceremony was beginning. A silence fell among the guests, and the first set of the wedding party made their way down the aisle. Each of the bridesmaids wore a floor-length chiffon dress. It was a soft sky blue color that coordinated with the groomsmen’s bowties. The groomsmen wore a classic grey suit with a matching vest.
The Bride
The music changed and guests rose from their seats. Erica stepped out onto the path that led to her future husband. All eyes were on her as she glided down the aisle in her slightly flared wedding dress. It was covered in lace from top to bottom, along with a fitted style. As Erica walked down, her eyes locked with Matthew’s. He stood there wearing the same suit that matched his groomsmen. They met at the altar, exchanged vows, and sealed their future with a kiss. Erica + Matthew were finally husband and wife!
The Wedding Reception
The rest of the evening was full of celebrations for the newly wedded couple! Friends and family of Erica + Matthew made their way to the tent area for the reception. A thrilling night of dancing, laughter, and of course love came to life. The union of two families was all because two people fell in love.
