Why did you decide to become a photographer?
I had the incredible opportunity to train and work for a highly reputable nation-wide portrait studio right after returning home from the Art Institute of Chicago. I enjoy being artistic and capturing memories for others.
What is your favorite memory from an event you’ve shot?
I photographed a princess ball once. The genuine thrill on the children’s faces was priceless.
What is your favorite thing about being a photographer?
Mostly, I enjoy the relationships I’ve made with people I’ve had the privilege of photographing over the years.
What makes you or your work unique/stand out?
For the past 6 years I have focused on female-centric portraiture and sharing women’s stories. I believe that beyond a beautiful photograph is a beautiful story.
What is your favorite part of the night?
At an event, my favorite part is the dancing at the reception!
List one fun fact about you most people do not know:
I hosted a Bigfoot search when I was working in the Rocky Mountains as a Girl Scout Camp photographer.
