If you have ever doubted friends’ ability to tell whether or not you’re with the right one, you need to keep reading. Karie + Tyler’s relationship began because of Karie’s neighbors! Tyler had moved near the family’s cabin about five years ago. Because Karie had been going there on and off since she was a child, she had also become close with her neighbors Jimmy + Lori. Once Tyler moved into the neighborhood, it wasn’t long before he realized how great they were as well. One thing lead to another, and these two matchmakers put Karie + Tyler together. Dinner with the neighbors turned into a dinner for two, then multiple dates down the line. Tyler eventually popped the question, and the rest is history! Getting Ready
Hair + Makeup
When it came to the wedding day, it was a picture-perfect sunny day. Blue skies and a mix of emotions running wild in the air. To get ready for the day’s events, Karie sat with her bridesmaids in the Craguns bridal suite. For hair, she went for a twisted updo. It was held up by a pearl and jeweled hair comb. For makeup, Karie opted for blush and bronzy tones. These perfectly complimented her stunning blue eyes.
The Dress
When it came to the dress, Katie went for a trumpet-shaped dress. This shape is a little like the mermaid, except it gradually expands out, more so than that mermaid shape. This shape is also form-fitting in the majority of the dress. For Katie, she went for a floral lace pattern that covered the entirety of the gown. To tie it all together, the straps even had that floral pattern going over her shoulder. This created a captivating bride!
Bridesmaids
The bridesmaids all wore the same dress. The dress was a column-style dress with a sweetheart neckline. The dresses also came in a periwinkle shade. This shade of blue was something that was sprinkled out throughout the day. That includes the bouquets that the bridal party held down the aisle.
Ceremony
Cragun’s Resort on Gull Lake
Speaking of the aisle, it was now time to walk down one! This wasn’t the traditional aisle in a church, or outdoors in a garden. Karie + Tyler chose to get married on a cruise! Craguns Resort on Gull Lake hosts events for any type of occasion. It’s a prime place for weddings because of the lake views and blue waves.
Groom + Groomsmen Attire
Karie got on board and looked up the stairs that led to the love of her life. Cameron was wearing a grey suit and tie. This suit was paired with a matching vest and white button-down shirt. The classic look was also worn by the groomsmen that stood beside him.
Karie walked up the stairs, revealing the wedding party and guests that waited for her to come down the aisle. After exchanging their vows, Karie and Tyler were officially a wedded couple!
Reception
The rest of the night was spent on the boat ride. The guests celebrated with drinks, cocktails, and great music. This picture-perfect evening ended on a high note as they quite literally, sailed off into the sunset!
