On an early fall morning, Ellyn + Corey tied the knot at Pequot Lake. They knew that scenic views of the lake waves and fall leaves were going to set the scene for their perfect day. After months on end of planning and making sure each detail was accounted for, it was all worth it once the day was all said and done.
Attire
Wedding Party
When it came to coordinating colors for her bridesmaids, Ellyn knew she wanted the color green. But which color when all shades of it are so great? She gave each of her bridesmaid’s freedom in choosing which shade of green and what style and texture they wanted to go for. This made sure that each bridesmaid was comfortable in the dress that they wore.
The groomsmen all matched on Ellyn + Corey’s wedding day. They each wore grey pants and white button-down shirts. These were paired with emerald green ties and brown shoes. Creating a cohesive look that didn’t compete with the bridesmaids’ dresses, but rather complimented them.
Groom
Corey wore his own version of the groomsmen outfit. He kept the grey pants and white button-down. Corey’s twist on the look was adding a green vest and a green and purple printed tie. All coming together to create the perfect groom.
The Bride
The lady of the day chose to wear a classic fitted trumpet-style wedding dress. It had lace that went throughout the dress and stretched out into the long trail. There were buttons that went down the middle of Ellyn’s back. For her hair, the bride decided to wear her tousled hair in a half-up, half-down style with some face-framing pieces. With both the bride and groom ready and dressed, they were ready to begin their ceremony!
Ceremony
For their ceremony, Ellyn + Corey chose to begin their new chapter at Pequot Lake. They put out seats in a cleared-out area with the backdrop of changing leaves. Once guests arrived, the ceremony began! The wedding party made its way down the aisle until finally, Ellyn stepped out with her father in hand. At the end of her aisle was her soon-to-be husband, standing on top of the bohemian carpet. They met and held hands as they exchanged vows and made promises. It was all sealed with a kiss and they were finally husband and wife!
Reception
Soon after Ellyn + Corey’s ceremony, friends and family were ready to celebrate the newly wedded couple! They all went towards the white tent with a warm glow coming from inside. It came from the string lights that hung on the inner perimeter of the tent. The couple made their grand entrance and were greeted with cheers. The night continued with some cake smashing, toasts and speeches, and last but not least, some dancing.
