Why did you decide to become a photographer?
I always loved taking pics, but after college a friend asked me to photograph their wedding. I was hooked!! I dove headfirst in to learning everything I could about photography, lighting and posing!
What is your favorite memory from an event you’ve photographed?
It has to be a wedding I photographed in Korea. The couple had the traditional Korean wedding attire on and we captured pictures at the Gyeongbokgung Palace. All the locals thought we were celebrities, and we gained a huge following by the end of the shoot. Random locals were asking if they could have their picture taken with us. It was a really cool day! A close second was shooting an outdoor wedding in a tropical storm, we got completely soaked but I captured some amazing pics!
What is your favorite thing about being a photographer?
Capturing memories for my clients truly brings me joy! I want to provide pictures that tell the story of the entire day, b/c it goes by so fast I don’t want the bride and groom to miss any detail.
What makes you or your work stand out?
Not only have I shot over 350 weddings which gives me the experience to handle most any situation, but I feel what truly helps me stand out is that I will do whatever it takes to make your day special. I invest in your family and wedding party to try and make everyone as comfortable and happy as possible.
What is your favorite part of an event?
Two parts, I always love the moment the couple sees each other for the first time. But I also love the father/daughter dance, but I think that’s because I have 3 daughters!
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I am a creative director for an HVAC company by day, dad of 3 girls by night. My beautiful wife and I have been married since 2009 and we love to camp and go to Disney. When I’m not working and shooting, I love to build things!!
