How do you ensure that your hosts are enjoying the event?
I will periodically watch the facial expressions of the hosts. If they seem to be looking lackluster, I will simply go up to them and inquire as to what I can do to make them enjoy themselves more. It could be offering to get a refreshment for them, or to change the music that is currently playing.

How would you describe your personality?
My personality is vibrant. I can certainly be reserved when the occasion calls for it. But when things get going, sometimes my smile, attitude and dancing along can be infectious.

Why do you enjoy working at Complete Weddings + Events?
Each DJing situation is different, but my love of music and the joy that comes from entertaining different people in different circumstances keeps my job from ever getting dull!

Why do you enjoy performing at weddings?
Helping ease the tension of a bride and groom’s special day brings its own rewards. If they can relax early during the reception after a nerve-wracking ceremony with the music I play for them, and the bride and groom can still dance it up later on when I change the mood from light dinner music to “now let’s party!”, and when the right song or ice breaker keeps everybody jumping on the dance floor, then it is always all worth it.

What makes you a unique DJ?
I keep venue staff members, caterers, photographers & videographers in the loop with what is on the itinerary at any given hectic behind-the-scenes moment. This makes the flow of the evening seem easy and effortless to the hosts and the guests, which is exactly how it should be.

He called the week of our wedding and focused on the details (even what specific versions of songs we requested to play during our reception) to talk us through the plan for the day. Our ceremony was in a different location than our reception and he set up in both spaces and arrived early to make sure he had time to get it all done. During the reception, he came over to us and checked in regularly, played a perfect playlist to fit the vibe we were going for during cocktail hour and dinner, and then kept the energy up on the dance floor with his selections and getting out on the floor for a couple of group dances!
