Cori and Kaden requested moody wedding photos for their Harry Potter Wedding at The Edison Barn. Complete Weddings + Events Tampa brought their vision to life! Their December 2022 wedding took place at the newly renovated Edison Barn located in Dade City, FL. The Barn at the Edison was the best wedding venue for Cori and Kaden’s perfectly crafted Harry Potter wedding details. What a magical wedding story!

Magical First Moments at The Edison Barn
Cori and her bridesmaids lounged in matching silk robes and popped the bubbly for pre-wedding ceremony bride and bridesmaids photos! The sweetest moment was the first look with Cori, her father, and Kaden’s father, which took place in her cozy and tucked-away bridal suite. Both dads had happy tears upon seeing Cori in her wedding dress. Kaden and his I DO crew wore coordinating Harry Potter socks and enjoyed their own pre-ceremony toast!
The Edison Barn: Harry Potter Wedding Decor Edition
Every single wedding detail was created with care. The wedding florals, including the bridal bouquet, as well as, the grooms’ and groomsmen’s’ corsages were created with dried flowers by Cori. Additionally, Cori provided the Harry Potter wedding reception decor and the Deathly Hallow pieces adorning the barn doors leading to the outdoor ceremony site. A Harry Potter wedding at The Edison Barn wouldn’t be complete without love potions, which were also included!
Deathly Hallows Harry Potter Wedding Ceremony
With a Harry Potter Deathly Hallows arch at the end of the outdoor wedding ceremony aisle, Kaden patiently awaited his bride’s arrival. Kaden’s reaction when he saw Cori walk down the aisle was one that left everyone gasping. Adding to the sentimental touches on this day, it was a family member who officiated their Edison Barn wedding ceremony. In true Harry Potter fashion, the bridesmaids, officiant, florals, and wedding ceremony decor all matched the moody tones and feel of a Harry Potter setting with rust, green, and mustard hues. Even Cori’s wedding ring box had the Deathly Hallow’s symbol.
The Edison Barn: Harry Potter Wedding Reception
The Edison Barn’s indoor reception space naturally gives Harry Potter vibes with its wood floors, paneling, gentle ambient lighting with 100’s of hanging Edison bulbs, heavy and tall barn doors, as well as, the dark interior. Long farm tables filled the reception space and mimicked the grand tables from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Greenery and forest green fabric runners adorned the center of the tables, along with wedding reception decor created by Cori. The Harry Potter-themed decor included spell books, glass bottles with potions, owls, and other Harry Potter wedding details.
The newlyweds enjoyed their dinner and toasts at their sweetheart’s table facing all their wedding guests. There was even an open-air photo booth with Harry Potter-themed photo props. Cori and Kaden’s Harry Potter Edison Barn wedding reception was enchanting in every way, especially since they transported their wedding guests to another world of warlocks, potions, and dragons.
Guests were asked to choose one of the official Hogwarts houses and to take a coordinating bracelet, matching one of their four options: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or Hufflepuff. Flip flops were on display to encourage wedding guests to dance the night away!
After introductions, toasts, and dinner, the dance floor became full and stayed packed the entire night! Complete’s wedding reception uplighting enhanced the Harry Potter wedding theme and decor by casting an ambiance over the entire reception area, a true lighting spell!
The Final Wedding Dance
Before their wedding exit, Cori and Kaden took a moment to soak it all in one last time with a private dance orchestrated by their Complete Weddings + Events Tampa DJ. The photo of Cori and Kaden dancing into their forever during their final private dance through the gap in The Edison Barn’s reception doors is a forever favorite!
