Why did you decide to become a photographer?
I fell in love with photography during my time in school as the photographer for the school yearbook and newspaper. I began telling stories through photographs and that’s when I knew I had to move toward creating more and more art with people through photographs.
What is your favorite memory from an event you’ve photographed?
There was one wedding that only allowed us 30 minutes to go from the venue to the reception all while stopping in between for photos. I could tell the bride & groom were stressed but we did all of the wedding party portraits with time to spare and everyone involved had so much fun while doing it. I could tell the couple breathed a sigh of relief and that was so rewarding for me.
What is your favorite thing about being a photographer?
I love making the people I ‘m working with feel at ease on their big day. Taking care of couples and leading them through the day is always so fun and I can’t get enough of creating a collection of memories to always look back on.
What makes you stand out?
I really like to take care of my clients when we work together. I think that when the subject is at ease it makes the photos so much easier and all the while more fun because they’re there just to enjoy the moment while I’m taking care of everything else.
What is your favorite part of the event?
Two moments come to mind actually. The first is just moments before the doors open for the bride to walk down the aisle. It’s often a beautiful moment just before the main event. I also adore the couples pure joy right after walking out of the venue after the kiss. The crowd is gone and it’s really sweet moment they share with each other.
