Cheyenne spent her last day as a Redding on September 21, 2019 when she married her best friend, Logan. Cheyenne and Logan were married outside at the Gambrel Barn in Verona Missouri and the party continued inside the barn. Here are some of her thoughts about her special day as she looks back!
When did you first meet?
We first met in about 2006/2007 in middle school. We started dating in December 2008.
Tell us about your proposal! When, where, how?
Our Proposal, we actually took a trip down to Nashville for New Year’s Eve in 2016 and stayed at the Opryland hotel where he had put together for us to have a boat ride inside the hotel, so while we were on there and getting close to the Christmas tree (because it is my favorite holiday) he popped the question!
Why did you pick to host your wedding ceremony and reception at the Gambrel Barn?
We picked the Gambrel Barn because we knew we wanted an outdoor wedding and to have a rustic “family reunion” type wedding as we have family from all over and are pretty simple people. The Gambrel Barn was honestly the only place we looked at but I knew right away that was where I was going to get married.
What was your absolute favorite part of your wedding day? Does your spouse have a different favorite?
My favorite part of the day was the reception and getting to see people we haven’t been able to see in a long time due to distance. Logan’s favorite part of the day was “dancing our butts off with all of our family and friends.”
What was the biggest challenge you faced in planning your wedding?
The biggest challenge I think we faced was really just the seating arrangement and making sure we got everyone who was going to be there and putting people together with who they would be comfortable around and just making sure everyone was going to have a good time.
