When I first chatted with Ginger’s mother over the phone about her daughter’s Beauty and the Beast-themed wedding I immediately got excited! What Disney lover wouldn’t with such a romantic and fun theme. Ginger and Eric’s wedding would be held at Chateau on the Lake and it was the perfect backdrop with the castle-like architecture, alabaster chandeliers, lake views, and exquisite landscaping.
A Tale as Old as Time: Eric & Ginger’s Love Story
Eric and I met in the summer of 2012. My brother and Eric’s cousin got married, and we met at their engagement party. Many people thought the two of us would be a good couple, but we were both too shy to do anything more than say hi when we ran into each other. In March of 2018, Ginger’s brother and sister in law and Eric’s brother and sister in law planned a pizza night at Eric’s brother’s house, so we could get to know each other. We hit it off, and the rest is history. In October of 2018, we went on a family vacation with Ginger’s family to Branson, Missouri. We had dinner at Top of the Rock one night, and Eric proposed to Ginger, at sunset, in the church on the property. A little over a year later, we hosted our wedding at Chateau on the Lake!

Wedding Rings: Both of the engagement and wedding were my grandmother’s. My grandparents didn’t have a lot of money when the first got married, and my grandpa worked for the railroad. He got a big promotion and when they moved to St. Louis, he surprised my grandma by upgrading her engagement and wedding band from him.
