This week we’re highlighting one of our favorite venues in the Sioux City area, Country Celebrations<\/span>. Located on the outskirts of Sioux City, IA, Country Celebrations is a gorgeous wedding and events venue that fully opened to the public in 2016. Country Celebrations is a gorgeous venue with large areas on the main floor, outdoor patio, and entrance. The indoor space offers everything you need for all the events of the day, while the outdoor offers an area for ceremonies, receptions, and relaxation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Overview<\/h2>\n

Country Celebrations is an idyllic haven for couples seeking a quintessential countryside wedding. Set against the backdrop of rolling hills and sprawling landscapes, this enchanting venue offers the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern convenience. The sprawling acres provide a versatile canvas for ceremonies, receptions, and photo sessions that exude a natural beauty.<\/p>\n

With its rustic barn, elegant ballroom, and outdoor spaces, Country Celebrations caters to diverse preferences and styles. The venue’s serene ambiance, coupled with its meticulously curated details, creates an inviting and intimate atmosphere. From exchanging vows under the open sky to dancing the night away in the elegantly designed ballroom, every aspect of this venue is designed to make weddings a dream come true.<\/p>\n

Country Celebrations encapsulates the essence of rural romance while providing all the amenities needed for a seamless celebration. It’s a picturesque destination where love stories come to life amidst the serenity of the countryside.<\/p>\n

History of Country Celebrations property<\/h3>\n

The event center sits on 130 acres of wooded land that has been in the family for more than 150 years. Todd Ellison’s great-great-grandfather George D. Perkins,<\/a> who founded the Sioux City Journal, purchased 1,000 acres from a railroad company sometime before 1870. Todd’s 86-year-old mother, Shirley Perkins Ellison, has lived on the property all her life. In 1995, Ellison’s opened Country Drive Driving Range on the property.<\/p>\n

Later in 2003, they expanded with the addition of a mini-golf. In the Summer of 2015, Country Drive Driving Range and Mini Golf closed in order to make way for the new event center. With the help of family and friends and a lot of hard work, in June of 2016 Country Celebrations opened for their first wedding. George Ellison (the son of owners, Todd and Kathy Ellison) offers carriage rides with his Percheron horses. With Erica Ellison Antrim as an event coordinator for the venue, this makes it a true family affair!<\/p>\n

I think it is one of my most beautiful venues in Sioux City with a large stone fireplace at the entrance, the wooden chairs, and warm lighting. The outside lawn is perfect for pictures and the outside ceremony space makes a perfect place for a wedding or a first look. I love that it is all-inclusive with table cloths, cloth napkins, silverware, glassware, etc. Since the venue Is so new, everything is in perfect condition.
