Vanessa is driven by a deep belief that the best photographs happen when no one is posing. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from SUNY New Paltz and over 20 years of experience behind the lens, she has built her craft around a single guiding principle: natural, in-the-moment storytelling. It’s the unpredictability of weddings that she loves most — the fleeting expressions, the unscripted laughter, the quiet moments that no one planned for but everyone remembers.

What sets Vanessa apart is her instinct for disappearing into a scene. You might find her lying in the grass searching for the perfect angle, or going completely still so as not to disturb a moment unfolding just a few feet away. Her goal is never to manufacture a smile — but to earn one instead. Whether that means being playfully silly with a nervous flower girl or cracking a joke to help a couple relax, she brings genuine warmth and a little mischief to every shoot.

Outside of photography, Vanessa is a dedicated foster mom to kittens through the Humane Society, having welcomed over 170 fosters into her home. (Yes, they do get photo shoots.) She’s also an avid traveler with a mission to photograph as much of the world as she possibly can.
