It’s important to be present at each event, to roll with punches, learn names, know what music the clients like, what music they don’t like. It also comes down to being prepared. Doing the groundwork beforehand goes a long way in ensuring a smooth and comfortable event.

My favorite part is once dinner and all the formalities are done, and I’m back behind the DJ booth, cooking it up for a packed dance floor, everybody singing along, throwing their hands up in the air. That’s the stuff right there! That’s my happy place.
