A warm beach wedding is what many dream of, and Jaclynn and Matthew’s beach wedding dreams came true this past March! Their St. Patrick’s Day wedding was captured by the Complete Weddings + Events photography team, and we adore all of their dreamy photos of blue skies, white sand, and the California sunset.
Jaclyn + Matthew • Beach Wedding on Coronado Island
Coronado Beach, on Coronado Island right on the coast of San Diego, is great for a quaint beach ceremony that’s still close to San Diego venues and the airport for guests visiting or wanting to stay at the Hotel del Coronado.
Jaclyn and Matthew’s small Coronado Island wedding ceremony was in front of the beautiful Hotel del Coronado, a Curio Collection hotel by Hilton, and a large oceanside resort with lush walkways leading you directly to the sandy beach. The hotel, which was built in 1888, has kept its Victorian style and stayed as an iconic landmark on the beaches in San Diego.
Simple Styles
Jaclyn & Matthew kept it casual for their wedding attire, walking in the sand along the breezy beach in their wedding whites. The groom wore gray slacks and the bride wore a boho lace dress with flared sleeves and white closed-toe shoes with thick heels (which help you not sink in the sand as much as a skinny heel). We found a nearly identical pointed shoe with a chunky heel on Shein (for less than $30!) and a similar off-the-shoulder lace dress on Private Cartel.
