Jackie + Joao’s Wedding at Green Gables Estate
Jackie and Joao’s wedding took place at Green Gables Estate in San Marcos, CA, tucked under tall trees and surrounded by ivy and garden paths. With soft natural light and a relaxed setting, it was the kind of place where every corner already felt like a celebration.
The Attire
Jackie wore a floral ball gown for the ceremony, full and flowing, with delicate patterning that added quiet detail. Joao wore a black suit with a black tie, keeping his look simple and classic. Bridesmaids were dressed in light sage green satin, which picked up the tones of the surrounding greenery. Groomsmen matched Joao in black suits but wore cream ties for contrast. Later in the evening, Jackie changed into a second dress that was lightweight and easy to move in, just right for the dance floor.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held outdoors, shaded by trees and surrounded by guests seated closely together. It stayed quiet and still as their friend Carlos Cornejo led the ceremony, standing with them as someone who has known them personally. The setting didn’t need much added, and the natural surroundings framed the moment in a way that felt true to the space.
The Venue
Their wedding at Green Gables Estate offered spaces that made the day feel easy from start to finish. Jackie got ready with her bridal party in the grand upstairs parlor, while Joao and the groomsmen used the downstairs speakeasy lounge. They held the ceremony beneath chiffon draping in the tented pavilion. As the sun went down, the gardens lit up with strands of twinkling lights that made the whole venue glow.
The Dance Floor
At the reception, the dance floor stayed full thanks to DJ Alfred from Complete Weddings + Events. Guests moved between dancing, the photo booth, and the ice cream bar. The setup gave people space to hang out, move around, and enjoy the night at their own pace.
