Elizabeth + Patrick Westgate Hotel Wedding

2.21.22

Elizabeth + Patrick’s love story began one fateful night at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Their meet cue was as cute as you could have imagined it. The two high schoolers crossing paths and sharing awkward interactions turned into something much more over the next years. The two bonded over their love for Marvel movies and so much more. Over the years, their relationship grew stronger. After going through college and starting their own lives in their new jobs, the next step in their relationship was due. A romantic trip to Paris was the perfect scene for that all-important question. The city of love won another heart as Patrick got down on one knee and asked “will you marry me”.

Wedding Party Attire

When it came to their wedding day, Elizabeth + Patrick chose attire that fit their classic and timeless romance. The bridal party all wore the same dress. It was a grey chiffon dress, cut in the sheath style. On the bodice was a sweetheart neckline trimmed with lace detail. The neckline extended up into the collarbone with a similar tone in grey mesh fabric. When all of the bridesmaids stood next to each other, it was clear that they were all standing in unison for one reason; Elizabeth’s journey in love.

The groomsmen all wore deep grey suits. Almost black, but not quite. They paired the classic suit with white button-downs, steel grey satin ties, and black shoes. All creating classic looks for the groomsmen.

Westgate Hotel Ceremony

Once the wedding party was ready, it was time to begin the ceremony. Guests arrived at the Westgate Hotel ceremony space. The french style ballroom had chairs separated on opposite sides of the room, creating a clear path. The ceiling was lined with the large crystal chandeliers that hung above the aisle. Music began to play which signaled to everyone that the ceremony was starting. Two by two, the wedding party made their way down the aisle to the fireplace altar. Finally, the moment everyone was waiting for.

The Bride

The guests rose out of their seats as Elizabeth entered the room with her father in hand. She glided across the aisle catching the eye of everyone in the room. Elizabeth went for a timeless look when choosing her dress. It was a column-style dress. The simplicity of the dress allowed for its details to take center stage. From the bateau neckline in the front to the beaded back. It was simply beautiful. For the ceremony, she attached a ballgown skirt to the dress to fit the grand moment. Elizabeth met her groom at the altar.

The Groom

In front of her stood the man she had dreamed of. He decided to put a spin on a classic suit. He wore black pants, a grey suit jacket with black trimming. To pair with the suit, he wore a white button-down shirt with black buttons and topped it all off with a black bowtie. A vast difference from the US Navy Seal uniform he wore for the first part of the day. It was a perfect addition to the day as the couple was sailing into a new adventure. Elizabeth + Patrick exchanged vows and promises. Sealing it all with a kiss! They were officially husband and wife!

Reception Decor

Festivities awaited the guests on the terrace of the Westgate Hotel. They walked out into stunning skyline views of San Diego, California. But, that wasn’t the only thing worth looking at. The decorations of the terrace were carefully thought out. From the gold details that tied into the hotel’s regal feel. To the personal touches of the Eifel Tower as centerpieces at the sweetheart table. It was a stunning scene made even better by the guests filling up the space.

Elizabeth + Patrick Reception

The bride and groom were welcomed into the space by the wedding party creating a lightsaber tunnel. Elizabeth + Patrick ran off to their sweetheart table. The night proceeded with toasts, speeches, cake cutting, and of course dancing! It was a sight to behold for the newly married couple.
