When most people think of winter weddings they have to think through planning a wedding for a snowy, cold, and potentially gloomy day. However, we’re dealing with a completely different animal. Luckily, winter is a bit nicer for us here so the advantages are much more apparent. Here are the top reasons for planning a winter wedding:
Weather
The most obvious reason to plan your Orlando wedding for the winter is going to be the weather. Not only do you get to likely bask in a sunny day that probably sits on the edge of being “sweater weather” depending on the specific month you choose. You’ll also get to avoid some pretty potentially terrible weather issues. Planning a wedding anytime between June and October (most people’s actual wedding season) really means you’re choosing to plan your wedding at a time when hurricanes are a real threat. If a hurricane doesn’t ruin the big day, you can pretty much bank on the fact that it will rain. If you’re planning a winter wedding you may not be 100% safe from the threat of rain. However, you’re going to be much more confident planning for outside activities.
The Scenery
Along with being able to account for better weather in the winter and clearer skies, you can likely bet on a beautiful sunset. Oftentimes, this happens early enough in the night for the photographer to get an amazing shot. Plus, as long as the weather doesn’t dip too low, you’re going to feel much better about doing photos outdoors. You and your guests won’t have to worry about the extreme heat and everyone melting in their nice clothes. Traveling
If you have any family traveling in for your wedding then the winter (specifically January and February) is going to be much easier to travel to Orlando in.
