Laura is the owner, coordinator, and DJ of Complete Weddings + Events Nashville, where she brings her love of music, communication and organization together to create personalized wedding experiences. With a bachelor’s degree in news and information journalism from Ohio University (Go Bobcats!), Laura once dreamed of being a radio DJ, but found her true calling behind the decks at weddings, where the energy, the music and the people are all live and in the moment.
As an experienced Nashville wedding coordinator, Laura specializes in crafting the perfect timeline and bringing every vendor together as a team. Her organized, proactive approach ensures that the wedding day flows smoothly so couples and their guests can focus on celebrating, not stressing.
When it comes to music, Laura is an open-format DJ known for reading the crowd and keeping the dance floor packed. She welcomes requests across all genres, blending them into high-energy sets that keep dance floors packed and guests of all ages engaged. She especially loves when couples request artists like Pitbull or classic two-step songs from George Strait or Alan Jackson, when it suits the crowd.
When she’s not working weddings, Laura loves to slow down and enjoy Nashville life. You might find her grabbing a coffee and croissant with friends, walking or lounging with her husky-pitbull pup, or rollerblading through the city’s parks. Before moving to Nashville, she competed in jiu jitsu in Kansas and still enjoys watching a good judo or jiu jitsu match. She’s also an avid fan of F1 racing, hockey, and cheering on the Cincinnati Bengals when she has time.

I get that question all the time, and no, if you book us for wedding coordination plus DJing, I’d typically be your coordinator and trust one of our very well-qualified DJs to be your wedding MC and DJ. I can’t be in two places at once and I never want to water down the service we’re giving couples on their wedding day!
For one, I learned to DJ in Kansas so I’ve played weddings for the cowboys and cowgirls outside the city as well as plenty of venues here in Nashville. Another thing about me I think would stand out is that I surround myself with other great DJs and wedding professionals to make sure I’m always improving myself and my team. And I’m always excited for a wedding, classic or non traditional. And I’m probably trying to hold back happy tears during your toasts.
I honor your music taste, unless you’d rather have my opinion. You fill out the wedding planner together, on your own time, as you decide on your songs. Closer to your wedding date, I like to do a final details call (or two) to go over your choices, fill in anything that might be missing, and adjust anything that might have changed. If there’s anything you haven’t figured out at that point, we work together to get it locked in two weeks before your date so we’re ready to roll on the wedding day!
