Is there a benefit to book multiple services with one company?

Yes! Booking packages from several different companies can add up! Bundling our services together only benefits the customer, from cost savings to simplicity and ease of event execution.

Our team of photographers, videographers, DJs, coordinators, and photo booth attendants have worked together on many events at numerous venues in the area, and they do it in an efficient and fun way.

What if my ceremony is in a different location than my reception?

If your ceremony is in a different location as your reception, the Complete Weddings + Events team is able to travel between both locations. Many weddings need photography, videography, sound, or music for both their ceremony and reception, and we can build a package that accommodates your specific situation! Depending on where the ceremony and reception are located in comparison to one another, there could potentially be mileage fees.

Having your ceremony and reception in the same place can be convenient for you and your guests, especially if you have a late afternoon or evening ceremony when the cocktail hour or dinner is starting right after the wedding ceremony. Many venues even have separate space available for the ceremony, so there is no need to flip the room, or the venue may have space for the cocktail area so guests can leave while the staff prepares the room for the reception and dinner. It’s all up to you!

What if I need more time than what is allotted in my contract for the services? What if I need more time the night of?

If you need more time than what you booked prior to your event, you’re able to add time on at any point (even the night of) with any Complete Weddings + Events service! Just let us know, and we’ll take care of you on your special day!

How long do I have to fill out my planning account?

We recommend having most of the details filled in about 60 days before the wedding as we will be reviewing your account around that time. It is best to have it completed and finalized 3-4 weeks before the wedding – the forms will be locked 30 days before your event (you can always communicate any updates or changes at any point and we can make sure those are reflected).

How can I make a deposit or payment?

To pay the booking fee and officially lock in your date with Complete Weddings + Events, visit completeeventmanager.com.

Add in your email address and password (provided from your event consultant) to log in to your online account and make a deposit or payment.

When is my final payment due?

Your balance is due 2 weeks before the wedding day, you can make a payment online at anytime or we will send you a reminder a couple of days before your balance is due.

Is gratuity included? How much do I tip?

Gratuity is not included in Complete Weddings + Events’ services rate. Whatever you feel is best to tip your professional(s) at the end of the night is up to you! While 10% to 20% tips for wedding vendors is a guide, nothing is expected, but it’s always appreciated!

Should I hire a day-of wedding coordinator?

Short answer – yes! If you don’t already have a wedding planner and don’t plan to get one, a day-of coordinator takes the stress of your shoulders so you can relax on your actual wedding day for less than the cost of a wedding planner. They make sure your wedding is set up perfectly to your vision, make sure your vendors arrive on time, and are your go-to for anything you need that day! If there’s an issue, you will never know because they’ve got it handled.

How much does a day-of coordinator cost?

The price of a wedding coordinator varies depending on length of service requested and the date and location of event(s). On average, couples spend $1,900 on coordination in the Naperville area.

What’s the difference between a planner and a coordinator?

Do you suggest using the second photographer for the full 8 hours?

Having a second photographer for the full day is completely up to the couple! We recommend at least having a second photographer for about 4 to 6 hours to be able to capture both the getting ready events, both wedding parties and family in a timely manner, and both reactions for the first look and the wedding ceremony.

With so much going on before the actual wedding reception (sometimes in two separate locations), it is a huge benefit to have a second photographer for the morning events through the wedding ceremony and family photos. After that, one photographer is absolutely able to capture everything you need.

What style of photography do you offer?

We don’t believe in a one‑size‑fits‑all approach. Our team includes photographers experienced in a range of styles, and we tailor the look and feel of your photography to match your vision for the day.

In the weeks leading up to your wedding, you’ll meet with your photographer to discuss preferences, expectations, and must‑have moments. You’ll also have access to online planning forms where you can outline specific shots and stylistic details.

Complete Weddings + Events Wedding DJs take on many responsibilities during a wedding reception including, but not limited to, managing the flow of events, releasing tables for dinner, assisting with dance floor rules and clean-up, and giving any house-keepings announcements, announcing the wedding party and introducing anyone giving speeches.

How many hours will I need a DJ at a wedding reception?

Most wedding reception DJs are hired for 5 hours. This allows for music coverage and announcements during the cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. Additional DJ time is sometimes needed if you need music or sound during your wedding ceremony or for a longer dance party!

Do your DJs also act as emcees?

Yes, our DJs are experienced emcees and can handle announcements, introductions, and keeping the vibes up and things on track.

Can I customize my wedding videography package?

Absolutely. Our wedding videographers offer flexible packages, so you can pick and choose what matters most to you.

Will I get the raw footage or just the edited film?

Usually, you’ll receive a cinematic highlight film and access to the full ceremony and toasts. If you want raw footage, just ask, our videographers are happy to provide it.

Do you offer drone footage or special effects?

Yes, many of our packages include drone footage for aerial shots and creative editing options. Just ask what’s possible. We love getting creative!

When will the videographer contact me to discuss wedding day details?

Your videographer is scheduled to reach out to you about 3 weeks before the wedding. We usually recommend doing your videography meeting after you meet with your photographer.

Do you offer engagement sessions?

Yes! Several of our packages include engagement shoots – it’s a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera and with your photographer before the big day!

Can I customize the playlist for my wedding?

Absolutely! We love getting your must-play and do-not-play lists. It helps us get the vibe just right. You’ll have access to online planning sheets that allow you to lay that all out and allow us to know exactly what you want.

Do I get to pick the music for my wedding highlight video?

You can help give suggestions on what kind of style and type of music you’d like incorporated throughout your highlight video if you’d like! Due to licensing rights, there are restrictions with certain songs that we need to be abide by. If you do want a certain licensed song in your wedding video, there may be an additional charge.

Overall, we recommend choosing a genre/style/type of song so our post-production team can get creative and make your video amazing!

How long does it take to get my wedding video back?

It typically takes about 8-10 weeks (up to 14 weeks during peak wedding season) for our post-production team to edit your video and get it back to you!

What if I want a mix of different music styles?

No problem! Whether you want classic hits, current pop, country, or something totally different, we’ll work with you to make sure we match your vibe and vision. Our wedding DJs are used to mixing genres and reading the crowd.

Can I get video footage or watch a potential DJ perform before booking?

Since most weddings are private events, typically the couple and their families do not want outside guests or “wedding crashers” to attend. In respect for the couple and event hosts, we do not allow guests to attend private events to see our staff.

We also customize each event to adhere to the specific couple and their requests, so each wedding Complete Weddings + Events DJs perform at is so different. We’ll work with you to make sure you have the perfect personality & vibe match for your event.

Is lighting included?

Lighting is offered as an add-on to our packages. Uplighting can be added to enhance your event. We’ll help you choose what works best for your space and vision.

If we’re not comfortable in front of the camera, does the photographer give direction?

Yes, all of the Complete Weddings + Events photographers are professionals and able to give direction for you and your family/bridal party/friends. You’re able to work with them ahead of time to make sure they know of specific shots you’d like captured on your special day!

How many photos will we receive?

It varies, but typically you’ll get hundreds of edited images that capture the story of your wedding.

How long does it take to get our wedding photos back?

It can vary, but it typically takes up to 8-10 weeks (up to 12 weeks during peak wedding season) for our post-production team to edit your photos/video and get it back to you!

Can the photo booth be customized for my event?

Absolutely. We can match your theme, colors, and even add custom logos or text to the prints.

Are props and prints included with the photo booth rental?

Yes, we include fun props and unlimited prints with every package. Guests love it.
