Complete Videographer Geoff Haney

Geoff’s path into videography began in film school, where he originally set out to write and direct. Along the way, he discovered an unexpected passion for the craft happening behind the lens—capturing movement, shaping stories through editing, and bringing moments to life in a way that felt both creative and endlessly rewarding. That shift opened the door to a career where he could pair his storytelling instincts with hands-on filmmaking, and he hasn’t looked back since.

Some of his favorite experiences have come from the places and people he’s been able to film, like the unforgettable wedding he captured on the stunning campus of Notre Dame, a moment that connected his love for storytelling with a place rich in personal meaning.

Geoff is known for his ability to notice and preserve the meaningful, unscripted moments that happen naturally throughout a wedding day. He has a sharp eye for organic emotion, especially in the candid interactions between families and children whose joy brings a unique energy to every celebration. For him, being a videographer is about more than documenting an event—it’s about honoring the connections, stories, and spirit that make each day truly one of a kind.

Learn More About Geoff Haney

Why did you decide to become a videographer?

I went to film school to be a screenwriter and director but discovered I really liked editing and being behind a camera as well—plus there’s more freelance opportunity there than in writing!

What is your favorite memory from an event you shot at?

I got to shoot a wedding at Notre Dame last summer. What a gorgeous campus and an incredible place to shoot! Plus, it would’ve made my Irish Catholic father very proud. 🙂

What makes your work unique / stand out?

I think I am very good at finding stories and moments in candid interactions. I frame shots on the fly very well and offer our editors tons of options, resulting in our clients ending up with unique results that fit the flavor of their event.

What is your favorite thing about being a videographer?

I love capturing precious and unique moments. I often film kids at weddings because their spontaneity and joy are infectious. Seeing family celebrating together and being a part of that inspires me.

List one fun fact most people do not know about you

Before getting married and pivoting to creativity that would keep me closer to home, I played guitar and sang in pop-punk and power-pop bands for almost a decade. I also have four kids (ages 4-14), which even I can’t believe I pulled off lol.
