Doug brings a thoughtful, cinematic approach to every event he captures, blending technical skill with a deep appreciation for genuine human connection. With a creative background that began long before he picked up a professional camera, Doug has always been drawn to visual storytelling, especially the kind that feels honest, immersive, and emotionally true.
What drives Doug’s work is the belief that the best images and films don’t just document a moment, they recreate how it felt to be there. He has a natural instinct for reading a room and anticipating real, unscripted interactions, allowing him to preserve reactions, energy, and emotion as they unfold. His shooting style balances clean, polished movement with intentional candid techniques, resulting in visuals that feel both elevated and real.
Doug especially loves knowing that his work becomes part of someone’s history, something they can return to years later and instantly reconnect with that moment in time.
I have been a “videographer” since I was a kid using my parent’s camcorder and editing with a vhs player. But formally I have been doing this since 2020.
My favorite moment was from a wedding reception for Complete last year, where the bride’s siblings did an impromptu performance of Pitbull’s “Fireball.” It was completely unexpected by everyone, including myself, and capturing the bride’s reaction was so hilarious and real, I love that!
I strive to capture emotional authenticity within the subjects of my work. When I am done and looking back at my footage I like to know that you can “feel” what it was like to be at the event I filmed. Also, while I do use stabilized gimbal shots for most of my work, I like to utilize handheld/manually focused shots for candid moments, I just think it adds a layer of “realness” to a video production.
Capturing authentic, human moments. Being able to have a part in creating something, in capturing a period of time, that people will be able to look back at and really see and feel, not “just” remember.
I know Kung-Fu!
