Memorable Moment in the Wedding Industry: About 4 years ago, I was DJing, and I was playing a wedding game called “Survivor”, and to get a better idea of what that is, imagine musical chairs meets scavenger hunt. I get down to three groomsmen and two bridesmaids, and I told them to find some lip gloss. Two bridesmaids and two groomsmen got back in time. As a simple joke, with no actual intent to make them do it, I told the guys they had to put it on. Well, before I could tell them it was a joke, they lathered the lip gloss all over their lips and on their face.
Fast-forward to the toasts, one of the groomsmen from the game, was about to give a speech, and mentioned over the microphone, “I had this long drawn out speech ready for the bride & groom, but the dang DJ told us to put that lip gloss on, and I didn’t realize I grabbed plumper instead of lip gloss, so my lips are on fire!”. Everyone, including myself, fell to the floor laughing at the mistake. He was a good sport about it, and it made for one heck of a night of partying.
