Ashley and Jake said their “I do’s” at a summer wedding in Kansas City three years to the day after they started dating. Though they grew up in the same city they didn’t meet until their college years. After a couple of years, Jake proposed to Ashely in front of all their family and friends.
Summer Wedding in Kansas City
They chose the beautiful Hawthorne House in Kansas City with an adorable chapel and a huge open reception space. You can truly see how in love they are by their reactions to each other as Jake gets choked up and Ashley can’t stop smiling!
Jake and his groomsmen wore gray suits with purple and white accents matching the bridesmaids’ lavender dresses. Ashley wore a beautiful A-line lace dress that was perfect for twirling around in! She also wore a timeless pearl necklace and earrings that completed the look. We love the colorful bouquets with pops of purple and pinkish reds! All these little details made for a beautiful summer wedding in Kansas City.
The reception was kicked off by the couple dancing to “From the Ground Up” by Dan + Shay. This couple and their family and friends knew how to party!
