Where the blacktop ends and the gravel begins, you can find the 1908 House waiting to help you celebrate your most cherished events. Overlooking the North Goose River the grounds of 1908 House are serene and calm with vintage charm radiating from every corner. Whether your family is gathering in the Victorian House, cutting a rug in the Hay Loft, or watching the sun set under the Pergola, 1908 House is a perfect venue for any event.
Its foundation was laid proudly in 1908 near Hatton, North Dakota. It also has many distinct areas that can be used for ceremonies including the old barn, the large covered deck, and a large green-way that overlooks the river. All with the added bonus of natural backdrops and breathtaking sunsets that North Dakota is known for. When you step onto the property, you’ll immediately feel the stress melt away. We may be a little biased, but, it’s our favorite place to be!
The Transformation
1908 House was started by my husband and I in order to provide a unique and carefree wedding and event venue for our region. Our family was fortunate enough to find the 1908 House property and couldn’t keep the tranquil and breathtaking views to ourselves. We opened our doors (and backyard) in 2016 and have enjoyed helping create lasting memories on our little piece of Heaven ever since.
We are a North Dakota family owned and ran business. On your special day, more than likely you’ll see our children and relatives out helping. Helping families come together to celebrate new beginnings is our favorite thing to do and we are always honored to be a part of something so special. We love supporting our local region and showcasing all that rural North Dakota has to offer. It’s not just the breathtaking views that the country can provide, but the helpfulness, warmth, and small town charm help to make 1908 House one of a kind. Our goal is to create a venue that takes the stress out of your day! We pride ourselves in offering transparent pricing with no hidden fees. Below are the highlights of what is included in our Wedding Weekend pricing.

Access to the 5 acre property for 52 consecutive hours.

Access to the fully furnished Victorian Guest house, renovated 2 story barn, and the picture perfect grounds for the entirety of your stay

Use of all available decoration items

Sound System for basic sound and mic needs (i.e. background music + playlists)

White event chairs to seat up to 300 guests along with reception and banquet tables with white tablecloths

Onsite overnight stay for up to 14 guests along with private parking for 300 guests

Includes set-up/clean-up for the tables and chairs along with during-event service

Use of Venue for Engagement or Bridal Portraits prior to Wedding Date (appointments must be scheduled)
