My journey into photography started with a camera that was gifted to me by my grandpa before he passed away. He was a camera technician, and I wanted to honor that gift by putting it to good use. What began as a way to stay connected to him quickly turned into a passion and a career. I love meeting people and believe that the people around you are what make any experience meaningful. Weddings are especially rewarding because they bring together so many unique personalities and stories in one place. While I’ve had plenty of memorable moments behind the camera, one wedding involved the family dog accidentally peeing on the bride, and yes, it eventually made its way onto America’s Funniest Home Videos. As funny as those moments can be, my favorite part of any wedding is the ceremony itself. Watching two people commit their lives to one another in front of the people they love never gets old. Fun fact: I actually started an apparel company at 16, picked up photography to market my products, and ended up falling in love with the camera instead.
