If you hire a good event coordinator, they usually bring an emergency kit for you to use. You never know when you might rip a button off your dress, or have a cocktail or appetizer give you heartburn. Read on to find out best tips for packing your wedding emergency kit!
Decorating Tools
All the things you might forget to pack when you decorate your venue.
1. Zip Ties. This will save you so much hassle trying to figure out how to connect fabric or flowers to things like your altar or chairs. Trust me. Try to color coordinate your zip ties to the color of your fabric so you can’t easily see them. Your venue will also love this because it is a damage-free way to decorate.
2. Scissors. This is something so simple but most wedding couples forget to pack them. Your venue may not have any they want to loan out. You will need these to cut the zip ties, and you will use them several times during the decorating process.
3. Tape. All kinds. You never know when you will need tape. Scotch tape, duct tape, masking tape, bring it all. Keep in mind most venues don’t allow you to tape to the walls. However, you might want to tape down other things such as decorations to tables if you are outdoors. Always tape down any cords too so your guests don’t trip.
4. Safety Pins. You might need safety pins not only for clothing items but for pinning drapes or other things.
5. Clothing Steamer. Not only will you need this for your attire, but you might also need a steamer for drapes or tablecloths.
6. Lint Roller. This is a must-have if you have dark-colored tablecloths. Buy a few to pack with decorating supplies and your getting-ready bags.
Beauty and Hygiene Products
You can’t assemble your wedding emergency kit without back-up beauty items.
1. Extra Makeup. Have your makeup artist set you aside sample sizes of the makeup items she uses on you and your bridesmaids. Sample sizes will be easier to tote with you when you need a touch up.
2. Blotting Paper. You will want these for when you are dancing or after taking photos in a beautiful vineyard in the sun.
3. Hairspray. A multi-functional beauty item that is a must have on a wedding day. Hairspray not only tames flyways and holds curls, but you can use it for so many other things. I like to spray the inside and bottoms of my heels to help with slipping. You can also spray your bottom to help keep your underwear in place so you aren’t repositioning your undergarments under your dress.
4. Tweezers. Pop-up eyebrow hairs stand no chance against you.
5. Eyelash Glue and Nail Glue. Bring them. You won’t regret it.
6. Nail polish. Just incase you get a chip right before photos.
7. Bobby pins. Bobby pins have saved us countless times! Make sure you get a few different selections, and a have your bridesmaids get the color that matches their hair color.
8. Makeup remover wipes. The uses are endless just like baby wipes. We use these a lot to get makeup off the men’s tuxedos after photos or hugs from guests.
9. Deodorant. For obvious reasons.
Health and Food Products.
Don’t forget to pack these items in your wedding emergency kit.
1. Snacks. Remember to pack snacks that will keep you fueled longer. Protein bars are great. Be sure to pick snacks that are not messy so you can keep your outfits and hands clean.
2. Reusable Straw. You don’t want to mess up your lipstick before the event begins!
3. Tampons and Pads. We pray you don’t need them, but you never know.
4. Hand Sanitizer. It’s a pandemic, people.
5. Toothpaste and Toothbrush. So you can have the freshest breath and pearly whites.
6. Mints. Stay away from gum on your wedding day. You will be disappointed when you see yourself on your wedding video chomping on gum during your ceremony. It is easy to forget you have gum in your mouth. Brings mints because you are one classy wedding couple.
7. Pain Reliever. So you can keep that red wine headache away or when your check-knee light comes on from your smooth dance moves.
8. Allergy Medicine. If you have seasonal allergies this is a must.
9. Small First Aid Kit. You should know someone will drink too much champagne and scrape their knee.
10. Antacids. Don’t be afraid to indulge in all the delicious treats on your big day.
11. Coffee or Energy Drinks. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
12. Water. Keep a small cooler in the car so you will have it at every location throughout the day.
13. Anti-Blister Balm. So you can wear those hot heels all night.

1. Jewelry Cleaner. You would be surprised how quickly a diamond will become dirty. Give a quick scrub to your jewelry the morning of your wedding.
2. Sewing Kit. This can be used for decorating and wardrobe malfunctions.
3. Your Wedding Timeline. Bring several copies of this so you are ready for anything.
4. Power Strips and Extension Cords. So you can plug in multiple curling irons, phones, and cameras while getting ready.

Invest in the Right Bag.
Make your life easier when you are packing.
Pack all of your items accordingly in bags that are easier to see everything you have. If you just throw all of this in a plastic grocery bag, it will be stressful to find what you are looking for on your big day. You can always pack a suitcase nicely, and then it is easy to roll around from different locations. You can also check out Amazon for a wide variety of traveling cosmetic cases.
