Why did you decide to become a photographer?

I don’t know if I decided, but it found me when working in South America.  My mentor there was a landscape photographer and things started from there.

What is your favorite memory from an event you’ve photographed?

This is hard because there are many of them, but on that sticks out is at a wedding reception at Copey Creek Farms. The groomsmen tossed the groom up in the air a couple of times.

What is your favorite thing about being a photographer?

Interacting with the clients and forming that relationship.

What makes you or your work stand out?

I like to think outside the box and use off-camera flash.  I want people to remember how they felt, not how they were posed.

What is your favorite part of an event?

Seeing everyone have fun and let loose at a reception.  You get some great laughs and candids.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?  

I taught country dance lessons and I am in a Toby Keith Video.
