I fell in love with photography at a young age when my dad taught me to used a 35mm film camera. I then went to school for fine arts and studied film photography in which later transitioned into the digital world 20 years ago. I have this natural tendency to document moments everywhere I go, capturing couple’s stories through my perspective as it just felt so right to become a wedding photographer.
I’m a very sentimental person. During events, I like to capture things that are important to my clients. Whether it’s personal items, the couple’s first look, or a generations picture with bride, mom, and grandma (my favorite). Weddings are so special for the couple especially to capture photos of loved ones are timeless.
The people I get to meet! Not only do I enjoy getting to know the couple I’m photographing but I absolutely love meeting the family and taking their photos.
I try to utilize natural elements, anything useful in our surroundings, and focus on my subject in a variety of ways. I tend to have a more rich and vibrant palette to my images.
It’s hard to choose. It’s like reading a fairytale story where beginning to end makes it complete. (no pun intended)
But if I had to pick, I love the reception part. So fun to see happy faces and everyone celebrating. “Let’s eat cake!”
I love arts and crafts. My favorite thing to make is wood burning leather and linocut printing.
